Workshops are a big part of getting your projects going and creating beautiful finishes…not just painting..Annie Sloan Chalk Paint is more than paint…

We are proud to retail all 31+ colors, waxes brushes and everything to get your projects going. Our workshops are a big part of our work at On the Purple Couch. Our aim is to help you complete your furniture painted project by teaching you Annie Sloan’s techniques on how to create beautiful finishes.  We don’t teach you how to paint in our workshops…we teach you Annie Sloan’s signature finishes, how to trouble shoot and how to use clear and dark wax…trust me this is only the beginning…there is so much to learn and so much fun to have.

This is one of the pieces that you might choose to create after you have completed the class. This piece is painted with Napolionic Blue (Annie Sloan Chalk Paint), a Pure White wash

(Annie Sloan Chalk Paint) and then sealed and set with Annie Sloan Clear wax…yep you can do this…all with out sanding or stripping or priming…yep I said it…

Many of you have asked when are we doing our FREE February Annie Sloan wax workshop…well…its Saturday Feb 7th from 1 to 2 pm. This class is free but you must register and bring your own Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Clear Wax and Annie Sloan Wax brush…Register HERE to purchase required supplies. If you already have your supplies call the shop and register 301.896.0010. You will NOT be able to participate in the workshop if you do not have supplies…:).

Chalk Paint 101 is our signature workshop…has started out strong for 2015. Classes fill up quickly and are small and intimate..
