With over 15 years in the non profit sector as a “case worker” and then a consultant Bahia entered the world of business as the owner of the only consignment store in downtown Silver Spring and exclusive retailer of Annie Sloan decorative paint Chalk Paint®. One year later she adjusted her business plan to focus exclusively on home decor and Chalk Paint®. As the child of West African parents, Bahia has lived and travelled all over the world. On the Purple Couch is an expression of all those places and lives she has lived. As a mother, wife, non profit professional and entrepreneur Bahia has much to share and express to young women and women in transitional periods of their life.
